About our queens
Each of our queens is carefully selected for her adherence to the British Shorthair breed standard. We look for strong, balanced structure, round facial features and expressive eyes, a dense plush coat, and a feminine yet robust appearance. Our queens complement our stud cats, allowing us to produce kittens with excellent type and consistency.
Temperament is just as important as appearance. Our queens are known for their gentle, calm, and affectionate nature. They are well-socialised, confident, and thrive in a home environment — qualities they pass on to their kittens.
The health of our queens is our highest priority. All queens undergo comprehensive health testing and receive ongoing veterinary care to ensure they are in optimal condition before being considered for breeding. Our protocols include routine veterinary checks, genetic testing for hereditary conditions, and regular monitoring of overall health and condition. We only breed from queens that meet our strict health standards.
We are committed to ethical and responsible breeding. Our queens are never overbred and are given adequate time to rest and recover between litters — their wellbeing always comes before breeding schedules. Each queen has a limited number of carefully planned litters, is given time to mature before her first litter, and retires from breeding at an appropriate age, either remaining with us or moving into a loving home.
Our queens raise their kittens in a safe and nurturing home environment. We provide dedicated spaces where they can care for their litters comfortably while still being part of daily family life. Each queen is closely monitored throughout pregnancy, birth, and the early stages of kitten development to ensure both mother and kittens receive the best possible care.
